Video Series
Project Overview
During my internship at Glassdoor I was tasked on creating high quality videos that would serve as rich content for the hub to attract attention to Glassdoor and Glassdoor’s proprietary content.
The Process
Collaborators: Stacia Doss (Content Writer & Manager), Laura Graham (Senior Art Director), Amber Lee (Senior Visual Designer)
Stacia would create a brief based off a top performing article that focuses on our target audience, the tone of the video, and what elements from the article are the most important to keep for the video. From here I create an initial script that goes through 2 rounds of editing typically and Stacia looks at it from a copy standpoint and Laura & Amber critiques from a visual standpoint. From there I would create the initial look and present style frames at our weekly creative team syncs looking for any general input. After getting input I would review it with stakeholders and proceed into the process of rough cuts and critiques before for final delivery.
The Raise Conversation - Your Guide to Leveling Up
This video in based on our article "How to Ask for a Raise" and aims to support those who find it challenging to ask for or negotiate a raise. This video breaks the process down into three key tips, paired with examples and scenarios, making it easier for viewers to navigate these tough conversations.
5 warning signs of a toxic workplace
This video is based on our article "5 red flags to spot before taking the job" and aimed to help employees recognize toxic work environments. By emphasizing these red flags, the video encourages Glassdoor's audience to be mindful during their job search and make informed decisions about their future workplaces.
3 strengths to highlight during your interview
This video is inspired by our article “Top 14 Skills for Interview Success.” The goal is to focus on the top 3 skills from the article and how to demonstrate how to effectively showcase 3 key strengths within each of the chosen skill set. To make those chosen skill sets stand out we created fun workplace superlatives to translate those top skill sets.
